More vaccination sites available across the ArkLaTex
SHREVEPORT, La. – The COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues across the ArkLaTex at a rapid pace. The vast majority of Americans are now eligible for the shots and that means vaccine clinics are easier to find.

The CEVT Strike Team will be providing the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at Benton Middle School to all eligible Louisiana residents. The large-scale COVID-19 vaccine distribution site will be offering vaccinations to the community from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6. LSU Health Shreveport is offering this after-hours vaccine clinic to better accommodate working individuals.
To date, LSU Health Shreveport has administered over 56,000 vaccines without incident. Individuals should provide ID and insurance information when they arrive to the drive-thru site for vaccination. Those that meet all other qualifications, but are without insurance are still eligible to receive the vaccine. While pre-registration is preferred and encouraged, it is not required to receive a vaccine. To preregister, go to the LSU Health Shreveport website at www.lsuhs.edu. Re-registration is not required for second doses at any site. You do not need an appointment to get the vaccine.
In the case of any delay in receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, the effectiveness of the vaccine is not reduced.
LSU Health Shreveport continues distribution of the Pfizer vaccine Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 3701 Hudson Dr.
LSUHS will also offer the Pfizer vaccine on Saturday, April 10, at Peaceful Rest Missionary Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 8200 St. Vincent Ave.
You can also get the Pfizer shot at Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral at 4725 Greenwood Rd. on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods will host a drive-thru vaccine clinic Friday at the Brookshire Grocery Arena (formerly CenturyLink Center). Vaccinations are by-appointment only and individuals must bring their photo ID and insurance or Medicare Part B card if applicable.
This weekend, the Johnson & Johnson single shot vaccinations continue at Brookshire’s Grocery Arena. They’ll be offered Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Minden Medical Center will host a vaccination clinic Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This will be a drive-thru event at 1 Medical Plaza in Minden for first dose of the Moderna vaccine. CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital-Atlanta will host another vaccination clinic Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Individuals 18 years of age and older are eligible to receive this round of one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Aurora Concepts is hosting a Pfizer vaccination clinic on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Windham Civic Center in Center, Texas.
