Shreveport, LA – The longest airing urban radio station in Shreveport, “KOKA” plans to continue Steve Anderson in the mornings (Monday-Friday) from 6 A. M. – 10 A. M.
The station plans to continue playing gospel music, reach newer generations, retain the current listener base and grow its relationship with the community. The station leadership has plans to retain good talent, establish a stronger relationship with the gospel music industry and the community.
Anderson has a very familiar radio voice; he’s been on air for 39 years. Of those 39 years he’s spent 25 years at KOKA. Anderson has been in ministry nearly 45 years. He’s been serving as Pastor of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, LA for 29 years.
“My grandfather, who is a faithful listener of Steve, taught me to never forget where you come from and Steve is a legacy we must honor,” said Charles Johnson, KOKA Director. “He’s successfully and skillfully mastered a certain listener base with Old School Gospel Classics, and I want to continue meeting the need of that listener base.”
Anderson will continue KOKA 980 AM and 93.3 FM with a more quality sound to his show.
