Bossier teacher saves student life
Bossier Parish Schools is praising Jordan Jones, an elementary school substitute teacher. His presence of mind and prompt action saved a student who might have otherwise been in serious danger.
Jones, a long-term sub at RV Kerr Elementary, was on duty when a 4th-grade student began choking. He jumped into action, utilizing his CPR and first aid training, and performed the Heimlich maneuver. Meanwhile, EMS was called while other staff members assisted with the situation. The entire team worked together to ensure the student was safe and well cared for. This is a great example of the amazing people making a difference in our community.
