Branden Anderson Releases New Single “Lockdown”
National Recording Artist and hit-songwriter Branden Anderson returns with brand new single“Lockdown.” Written by Branden along with hit producer Daniel Bryant (Tamela Mann, Chante Moore, Chris Brown,) “Lockdown” is a love song describing the amazing relationship between God and his people.
Branden says, “Adding a song like “Lockdown” to my forthcoming album was almost inevitable, as my group members and I have always included love songs on our albums. On G.I.’s debut album “God’s Image,” we had a song entitled “Promise.” On our sophomore album “The Next Dimension,” we had a song entitled “Only You.” And on our “Winning” album, we had “In Love with You,” featuring Keke Wyatt. Love is such a central theme in the bible. That’s why I wanted to release “Lockdown” in this season. While the world is acknowledging and celebrating love around the Valentine’s Day holiday, I want to remind everyone about the true origin and meaning of love. God gave us his son, Jesus, because He loved us (John 3:16.) Jesus told us to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind. He also told us to love each other. (Matthew 22:37-40).”
“Lockdown” is preceded by Branden’s smash breakout hit single “God Did It Again (Tell Somebody),” which peaked at #11 on the Billboard and Mediabase Gospel Radio Charts, and went #1 on several other charts, including Kirk Franklin’s Praise Station on Sirius XM Radio. Branden’s current radio single “On Time” is rapidly climbing the Billboard Radio Charts, coming in at #36 this week. Branden Anderson and G.I. fans are happy because another single released is another step closer to Branden’s debut solo album expected to drop sometime this year.
