Central Trade & Labor Council partners with LSU Health for community event
As we face another COVID-19 variant, almost half of Caddo Parish remains unvaccinated. According to CDC data, the Omicron BA.5 sub-variant is estimated to account for 65% of new COVID cases in the United States. BA.5 poses a higher risk of infection and reinfection, and health officials say vaccination is the best defense. Getting updated boosters can provide increased protection against the currently circulating Omicron variant.
To better serve the local workforce, parents, families, and the community at large, Central Trades & Labor has partnered with LSU Health Shreveport to host a Free COVID Vaccination Event this weekend.
