Gospel Artist Spotlight: Cardell Booker

Born May 18, 1993, in Dallas, TX, to the late Bishop Cardell D. Booker Sr. and First Lady Jeanette Booker, Cardell Booker, was born into a family with a bloodline gift of both ministry and musical talent. These gifts were groomed from an early age at God Tabernacle of the Deliverance (now operating as Deliverance Point Church).

Though Cardell has been singing since the age of 5, it wasn’t until age 19 that he released his first professional recording, a two-song introduction to his contemporary church sound and signature raspy vocals and runs. The singles featured were “Capture Me” and “Saved,” featuring Bishop Booker.

Cardell’s current single “More” (2019) features James Fortune, who he’s traveled and toured with as lead male vocalist since 2014. Kirk Franklin and Joshua Rogers are other notable names in the Gospel music industry that he has worked under as well.

Each September, Cardell hosts an annual benefit concert titled Cardell Cares when it comes to charity and community. The concert is in memoriam of his father and brother Cardell D. Booker Sr. & Jr. and benefits select people in the Dallas, TX area who have lost parents and/or siblings in the past year.  Plans with Cardell Cares include a fully operational 501c3 with grief counseling and healthy lifestyle resources.

Now managed by Creative Classic Agency – home to Gospel music favorites including James Fortune, Zacardi Cortez, and Wess Morgan – Cardell Booker is excited to continue sharing the Gospel through song and walk confidently towards everything, God has prepared for him.
