Lynn Lockhart is a Pennsylvania-born Christian artist that lives to praise and sings to worship with her soul wide open for Jesus Christ. Her dynamic vocal and writing styles combine elements of many different genres that are passionate to her heart. Growing up in many households where music was always playing, she fell in love with the sound of music early on in her childhood, mainly because her father, an accomplished guitarist, played in many gospel and quartet groups touring the United States.
Since the age of 5, Lynn Lockhart’s experience in music, from; directing her church choir, playing bass in her school orchestra, jazz band, and singing in school choirs, has given her a sharp ear and an appreciation for a wide range of influences. Inspired by great artists like Kari Jobe, Cece Winans, Israel Houghton, and Don Moen, Lynn has taken her own personal journey to create a sound she likes from the music she loves.
Currently based in Louisiana, Lynn Lockhart has ministered in various cities across the country such as Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, Atlanta, GA, and Dallas, TX, to name a few. She has had inspiration from the late Carl Avery & O’lando Drapper (“Gotta Feelin,” My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord”) and also had the pleasure of tutorage under the excellent guidance of the late Ernie Saunders.
