Shreveport, LA – The longest airing urban radio station in Shreveport, “KOKA” have chosen Theron Jackson and Sangbahn Scere to takeover weekday nights (Monday-Friday) from 9 P. M. – 12:00 Midnight.
The station plans to continue playing gospel music, reach newer generations and grow its relationship with the community. The station leadership will accomplish this by bringing a more diverse group of talent, establish a stronger relationship with the gospel music industry and the community.
Jackson has earned an undergraduate degree in business and graduate degree in divinity. He also holds honorary degrees and studied at Texas A&M University, Indiana University and Harvard. Jackson is a very well-known leader in Shreveport having served in 2004 on the Shreveport City Council and currently serving one of the largest churches in the area, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church as pastor. He has been the featured speaker at churches, graduations, corporate meetings, and government agency meetings, law enforcement training conferences, women’s conferences, college and university events, and military base events. He brings experience to the table as a former radio show host. Jackson is an outspoken advocate for justice and equity and he continuously seeks to create opportunities for those in the generation following him. Jackson believes information and knowledge are power and he seek to empower the uninformed in his community and abroad.
Scere earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in social work. She also holds a juris doctorate in law from Southern University Law Center. Scere is known from her work in the mental health and legal community. Through mental health she’s helped children and adults suffering from a range of mental issues, helping them gain the skills needed to manage their symptoms and obtain maintain independence related to their well being and living environments. In the legal community she has focused on a wide range of legal issues in family law, criminal law, child abuse and neglect matters, curatorship, personal injury (car accidents), succession and estate matters, small claims lawsuit, business entity formation and advisement, mental health law, document and contract preparations, and notary services, and social security law. Scere is a part of many community organizations that focus on legal and social work issues.

TJ and San will start on KOKA 980 AM and 93.3 FM Tuesday, October 1, 2019 weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 9 P. M. to 12 midnight.
