Johnson have been chosen to takeover Saturday mornings on KOKA

Shreveport, LA – The longest airing urban radio station in Shreveport, “KOKA” is pleased to welcome Patrick Johnson (PJ The Music Master) to take over Saturdays from 6 A. M. – 10:00 A. M.

The station plans to continue playing gospel music, reach newer generations, and grow its relationship with the community. The station leadership has plans to bring a more diverse group of talent to establish a stronger relationship with the gospel music industry and the community.

Johnson is a long-time native of Shreveport, husband, father of three, and a loving grandfather. He’s been a musician for over twenty years at several local churches. Currently, he serves on the music staff at New Beginning Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church and is a lifetime member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church. Gospel music has been a massive part of his life, and he has used his gift in several musical organizations, including the Bright Star Male Chorus of Shreveport. Furthermore, Johnson work at Bossier School District, serving students within Bossier Parish.

“We need to reach our listeners with hits in gospel music which is known as golden songs,” said Charles Johnson, KOKA Director. “PJ the Music Master will do just that; he’s going to make sure our listeners hear their favorite golden songs.”
